I love a good ol’ scrambled eggs and a bowl of cereal for breakfast. But upon more recent travels (to Europe in particular), not everywhere else in the world eats like this for the first meal of the day. A breakfast I’ve come to love while being abroad is the pan con tomate from Spain.
It’s something so simple and delicious that nothing could go wrong. Five ingredients will do the trick: olive oil, salt, pepper, bread, and tomatoes. Optional: add iberico ham or some kind of thinly sliced cured meat to garnish on top. Yum!
