Getting To Know Fleabag’s Godmother, Queen Olivia Colman

If you haven’t seen the Emmy nominated Amazon hit, Fleabag, you’re missing out on a binge-worthy,  dark comedy series that explores the depth of a seemingly aimless 30-something woman called Fleabag.

Adapted from a one-woman play of the same name by writer and star, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the character of the hero’s godmother was written specifically for famed actress, Olivia Colman.

The hated and painfully charming godmother is brought to life by Colman’s superb comedic timing and notable smile. The award-winning actress who most recently won awards for her portrayal of Anne, Queen of Britain in The Favourite is nominated for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for the role.

Colman’s excellent representation of British royalty will continue this fall in her upcoming role as Queen Elizabeth in season 3 of Netflix show The Crown.

Vogue decided to pay its October cover star a royal visit at The Ritz London and ask her 73 questions. Find out how she feels about Barack Obama, British humor and red carpet must-have, Spanx.
