Meet The First Female Executive Chef At Major Food Group

Chef, Ashley Eddie is baby-faced, but don’t let that fool you. This January, the 31-year-old was named the first female executive chef at Major Food Group. The company owns over 20 restaurants around the world, in cities like Hong-Kong and New York.

In its years-long history, the growing hospitality group has never designated a woman as an executive chef until now. The announcement highlights not only the glaring glass ceiling for women in the food industry but also presents an inspiring success story for a young female chef.

Eddie started working for the company as a line cook 3 years ago and now she is the Executive Chef of Major Food Group’s award-winning, New York restaurant, Santina.  The rising star’s incredible work ethic proves that hard work and perseverance can pay off and even at 31-years-old.

She’s a #girlboss who is giving us major inspiration. Learn more about Ashley Eddie’s story and take a minute to define what motivates you.
